I Just had the nevo 175mm pulley installed on my otherwise stock mr2 and man what a difference. the tourque is there right down low.

one thing I did notice is that the power band seems to be alot lower than what it used to be. It feels like full power has been achieved by 4000rpm and doesnt seem to rise any higher with more rpm. I put this down to be somthing to do with the intake temps wich are probably sky high.

I also noticed a strange noise (sounds like a blow of valve but in reverse). Is this the ABV? I have done the ABV mod by capping the brown vsv and running the abv directly to the intake manifold. Is this correct? I only hear this noise when accelerating hard in 1st or second gear but not 3rd or above. Could this be the belt slipping?

I am currently running the stock I/C but I am going to be changing to a PWR w2a cooler shortly. Has anyone had experience with these? or can anyone suggest a better/cheaper solution?

Any help would be appreciated!

congrats

you shuould wait till its a cool night you should be able to run low 6 seconds Very Happy

yeah would most likely be due to the intake temps and poor flow properties of the stock fin type toyota cooler.

ive ordered an ARC BAR+plate cooler from japan which should effectively reduce temps. Its all in the design.
