VVTi values/settings for 4AGE-20v SilverTop Fri, 14 January 2005 18:47 Go to next message
Does one have the information about the VVTI settings or values for the 4AGE-20v SilverTop?

A SDS EFI has been installed and is working great powering 130 WHP on a stock 20V SilverTop. We are missing the VVTI settings, we don't know at what RPM does it start also the curve values per RPM for it. We know this is a plus of some extra HP.

Im not too sure on the settings but its pretty easy to find out.

Take your car down to the dyno... switch the VVTi solinoid off... Do a power run... Then switch the VVTi soliniod on. Do aother power run... Put the graphs on top of each other...

Where they meet is the RPM point where the VVTi should be switched on..

Yesterday I found that the VVTi start at 4,400 rpm but what i am looking if for the values of vvti.

At 4,400 rpm the vvti should variate the valve to XX degres or seconds or so. I need to figure out the values to the rest of the RPM curve.

TIA

The silvertop system is called VVT, not VVT-i, as it is not very intelegent because only 1 or 2 things trigger the VVT solenoid.

I think the blacktop system was called VVT-i, as the computer thought a bit more about when to do the VVT thing, not always just based on rpm.

Sorry for not being very helpfull.
