my 2TC's carby is playing up on me Crying or Very Sad .the secondary throat is not opening corectly i have checked the vaume actuator and it is working fine ive dismantled the carb and found a vacume line reading from the primary was blocked. its cleared now but the secondary still isnt working corectly Mad .ive wired it so it opens mecanically with over 50% throttle so i still have some power for normal driving.

leave it mechanical like you have mate - its my best advice - had the same issues with mine - and got rid of all the vaccum gear reliance i could ( ie choke , and secondaries )

mechanical secondaries are also a lot more tinker-able ..

the only problem i have now is that when the secondary opend at low revs it floods the engine for a second and it gives a huge stutter. any help on removing it? or just put up with it?

Alainve,

The common ploblem withthe 2TC carby is actually the butterfly shaft for the secondaries. They tend to gum up and be just that bit to stuck for the vacuum to open them. If you are good with carbies then pull it down and clean the shaft really well. The just keep it clean and crap free with some Carby cleaner. You may need to grease the end of the shaft or something before you reassemble it.
