Hey yall. I know there is a post up asking about pro's and con's of manual & EB controllers. I just wanted to know if anyone had encountered the boost spike problems people talk about when using the cheap $100 manual boost controller that you just set and leave. If so how much of a problem do they cause using about 15 pound. How much better is an EBC? After boosting staight up to 13 psi using a maual valve I have noticed the boost " die off" a couple of pounds . I was told this was normal and that porting can fix this. Will this "die off" be eliminated by using an EBC. Whats the going rate for a decent EBC
Yes that is a common problem with the manual bleed valves! For a decent "Electronic Boost Controller" that will eliminate this problem your looking at least $800! There was an article in Hot4's about Boost Controllers that I think JapMotorsport sport tested! Cant remember what issue though! If i looked i could probably find it.
