1983 MA61 supra - not for sale anymore :)

Just seeing if theres an enthusiast out there looking for a nice clean supra...
Here are the facts:
Year: 1983
Car: MA61 Aus-Spec Supra
Colour: White, Blue pinstriped interior
Kms: 140,000
5M-E (In good health)
W58 Manual
WORKING LSD!!
Power windows, mirrors, all the biz.
Reason for sale: Considering buying an MA61 with a 7mgte in it, probably more realistic than struggling to get the money to do this one up
The good stuff:
-Bridgestone Eager tyres, 90% tread
-MA71 leather steering wheel- (if you prefer, I can sell with the original wheel)
-Unopened AFM (Comes with spare)
-New spark plug leads (the expensive ones)
-Heavy Duty clutch
-Rewired foglights
-Keyless entry and immobiliser
-Pioneer CD player (suits the look of the car!)
-New Calcium super battery
-Steam cleaned interior
-Repainted and polished mags
-New custom gear boot
-Pedders comfortgas shocks, about 5 years old?
-Reconditioned Steering rack
-New speedo cable
-Almost no rust! (Details below)
-Working Aircon and climate control
-Always runs Premium unleaded
-Smallish chrome exhaust tip
-Always used Toyota Coolant
-New floor mats
-Regularly serviced!
-Not thrashed! I hate doing skids and shit like that!
-All reciepts from work done by me and previous owner (1983supra on these forums)
-With RWC and Rego!
Basically I've neatened everything up, got rid of rattles, cleaned everything, made it look new. the interior is excellent. The car is very well maintained, as not having much money all i can afford to do is wash and polish it. I made sure that the 5M was dead healthy because I was going to turbo it- it runs an even compression of 135-140 each cylinder. It is my goal to get the car looking brand new. But here are the things that aren't so great about the car:
-In the past, it has had a respray, and is peeling on the roof, and some slight edges on doors, front bumper and in some bits around trims. Still looks great, but I'm a fusspot so if I keep it, I'll respray it. It has two small pin dents. In a previous life, it had a prang in the front, but has been professionally repaired.
-The keyless entry doesn't work ATM. Will be fixed in the next few weeks though.
-The MA71 leather wheel is pretty cracked up the top. Its been painted and disguised as best as possible, but isn't immaculate.
-The only thing that doesn't work is the power locks switch. Will try and get this fixed with the keyless entry.
-There is a tiny patch of rust in the lower left corner of the hatch glass, about the sixe of your thumb. I've treated it, and put some body filler (yes, bog) and painted it, so the rust is stopped and it doesn't leak. There was some rust in the spare wheel well but that has been repaired. some tiny patches of surface rust, but they've been fixed too.
Thats about it! Here are some pictures:

Very clean. Just curious - in the pics it seems to have more rake than stock - sure the springs are stock?
Free bump.

someone has said that before! But yeah, I'm fairly certain they are, and the previous owner confirmed it... So if the springs aren't stock they were done a loooooooong time ago
thanks for the bump

i just thought it may be easier to sell this (nooo!!!) and get an already-done car... ie a slightly modded jza70....
but i don't know, its so hard...
but i think i will keep this supra. if this EOI dies and falls to the bottom of threads... then it'd be no shame

Whoa....that car is beautiful. If it were anywhere near me I'd buy it for sure, or at least try to. Shouldn't sell a car you love unless you love the next even more though. You will only ever regret it.

I've so been throught what you are now! My mates were so dam sick of me talkin about it! i got hit (not my fault) which resulted on most of teh cash for a respray, so i did back to all prudy and shiny then 12 days later i "mate" i use the term exceedingly loosely drove it into a ditch. good by car. Ended up getting loan of the folks and got a JZA70. Still love the ma60's tho (atestment to why i'm here). if you get the chance and ARNT worried about the resale price 1j+a60 would be mad. my JZA70 is bloody fast and great but for pure speed, 80's stylin but with out some of the mod cons a JZA60 would be awesome!
PS i even found the kit i was gonna ship in from the states to put on her 'when' she because a show car.... what a waste of a good car...

Not a hope! i'd have to admit it would make the car a whole lot easier to drive around(110-120mm off the ground! ) but still not a hope! Its a few grand worth of doluck kit
What happened to the Melb. cruises? i finaly get my licence back and they look like they've died!

it was just an expression of interest!
ultimately, i'd like to buy a cheap 7mgte supra, swap all the gear into my car and then sell the donor car with a 5me in it.
but, i have to consider nice 7m supras when they come up...
i'd prefer not to sell my car though...
so there will be no pain on my booty just yet..

am or pm ? If it is pm, we might be able to catch up, but am is a bit more difficult. Give me a ring when you land/are free, and I'll see what we have on at the time.
Is the plan to drive straight back ?
Cheers
