Unexpected roundabouts + wet roads = this.

The roundabout came up on me really quick as I was unprepared for it, managed to slow to about 45 going in, locked the fronts up and the front left of the car went up the gutter and into the guardrail, dragging the whole left side of the car along with it.

Im unsure of what to do now. Spend a few grand fixing it, or wreck it and spend that money plus the few grand on a nice TA22 or something? Sad

By the look of the spigot hole, in the mid pic. I'd say no. Otherwise hot looking rims. Cool

sorry to hear that man! Was a nice car, but I am sure it could be again Smile

Head up champ, accidents are always learning experiences, I should know :\

Also, don't worry about all the dip shits on ocau, it has REALLY gone down hill in the last couple of years Sad I don't know why I bother with it sometimes.

yeah i noticed the spigot hole and thought hmmmmmmmmmm cause ive seen toyota rims like this (not widened) but with proper size spigot hole.

the toyota rims like this are apparently the ones you get if you want a 14" rim stock to fit over the hilux peugeot brake upgrade.

my damage was only superficial, no damage to wheels or rear like yours, the corona's are a hand ful in the wet, I have learnt this on many occasion take it slow and its all good. Sorry to hear about it.
My car has stepped out on many occasions in the wet even when only going 25 km'ph around a roundabout, I have never lost it though or crashed it in wet. First indicator is the steering lightens up then you know it gonna happen so be very wary with accelrator. There is certain roundabouts in the wet that I brake slighty on the make the car want to understeer a bit to stop the rear from stepping out.

I think my spare is different, only the two rears look like this, from my pic the rims look the same barring colour difference if you can see.

he seems to have more space around the hole mine rim goes striaght into the hole he has a gap between the two, but my wheels are 5.5 inch wide so should ask him how wide his are. But I do have the same size tyres 195/65/14

Those rims I picked up off these forums. Yeh, the tires are 195s, not 100% sure on the width of the rims though. AFAIK they're stock ta22 rims that have had the offset changed. Ill have a dig for the emails the guy sent me.
