What condition is the box in mate?
Also what did this W58 come behind?

Hi,

Well, I'm no gearbox expert, so err, ummmm.... it came of the back of a 1jzgte Chaser.... so it has not had too much power driving it.

I wanted the motor and bellhousing etc and the box is excess to my needs.

The motor was in good nick, so I suppose the box is too.

This is a W58 not R154, I don't think they are supposed to have a steel plate??

Please, correct me if I am wrong.

What came behind a 1JZ stock please?

Well, the 1/2 cut was a Chaser.

It is as is, no bellhousing and freight can be arranged, but extra.

Its definately not a R154.
The W58 is supposed to have a steel sandwich plate HOWEVER I have seen a few W58 gearboxes with an alloy sandwich plate.
They were definately W58's according to the ratios.

Put the box in 5th and count how many turns out you get for say 10 turns in.

OK, I see the confusion here.

It came from a Chaser front cut which had been converted from an auto to 5 speed with this cheaper W58 option.

Factory 1JZGTEs 5 speeds came with R154s

W58s apparently came in alloy and steel sandwich plates

I just needed the package deal for the 1JZGTE and JZ bellhousing, so this W58 is surplus to my needs and consequently why I'm selling it cheap to get out of my garage.

Here is a shot of it on the motor when I got it.

Speedo drive
Reverse switch
Clutch fork and slave
