many moons ago, there was a genuine ex-cold-war russian cruise-missile sub for sale on the net somewhere (might have been eBay). Was moored in the US somewhere as floating restaurant - propulsion system was permanently disabled so had to be towed.

Some company (I think it was German) sold the drill that was used to drill the tunnel under the English Channel on Ebay. I wonder who the hell bought that?
