I am getting the valves and seats reground on my 18R-geu head and was wondering how i go about resizing the shims under the buckets? i know im gunna need a micrometer and a whole stack of shims im just wondering where to get the shims from? i heard that ones from kawasaki motorbikes fit?

you can buy them fron toyota they are from a SW20 94 model on

ok, so is that the same as 2TG shims? So I can get 2TG/18RG shims from Toyota for a SW20 MR2 - 5S-FE / 3S-GTE? Are we sure?

You can also go into any YAMAHA motorbike shop and buy them in varying sizes. Don't forget, not all valves will require the same shim size.

the yamaha and kawaski are 2mm smaller than the toyota 1s the shims are the same for 2tg 18rg and 94 on wards 3sge mr2
