My friend Matt assures me that Flood is the best in perth, so it might be worth a wait...
Try Xspeed and Cypher Industries - I hear they dabble in toyotas from time to time
I dunno if they're any good or not, but Down Under on the corner of scarb beach rd and loftus st North Perth seem to have a steady flood of high performance cars coming through (I pass by on the way to work every day) Mostly Oceanliners (R33s for the most part) but I'm pretty sure I've seen JZA80s a few times.
Apart from that, jump onto #antilag on the austnet irc network (irc.austnet.org 7000) and ask around - we're mostly perthies there.

Yeh, I live near Down Under and love gawking at their parking lot. I think a lot of those cars are their own, being prepared fo compliance. They also focus on exhaust work, I think (they made extractors for my EK more than 10 years ago).

what supra is it?
My mechanic that was doin my MA61 before was bloody reliable and on the ball and honest (i know.. i tested him out..). he gets parts damn cheap and only charges like 55 an hour for labour, but if it goes over a certain cost i think he just fixes the cost with u beforehand..
he quoted me 500 to do the steering rack which ive been told by many people is a VERY fair and cheap price (plus labour of course).. did my strut tower tops for like 150ish as well i think.. charged about $80 to put my new shocks in too

Tell them you are looking for a new service centre and that you have lots of future mod's planned. I had same problem - local mechanic used to do some welding and fabrication for me cheaply - but eventually said 'go away'. Their bread and butter is in regular servicing. C-red and Cypher both have experience with 1J's, but better still: find out where all those Soarers are going. There used to be someone in Kingsley advertising Soarer serviicng.
