SC14 SUPERCGARGER TECH ??

G'Day Guys,
I own an SC400 Lexus and looking @ the option of using 2 SC14's on the 4Ltr V8.
While most laugh and say yeah right. I figure they can power a 2Ltr 6cyl, so why can't 2 of them run a few pound on a 4Ltr ? For this application they are actually supplying air for 2Ltr's each ?
I am having a hard time finding some detailed information.
Looking for info like who actually made the Blowers ?
The SC14's max rpm's
Max Boost, etc.
If i could find the builder i could probably find the relevant details.
This way i would know all the Spec's with confidence, with out praying it's not a case of "Chinese Whispers"
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Stephen

They were made by toyota.
They should work reasonably well on the v8 but driving them could be a bit of an issue. The important thing about a supercharger is to mount them solidly (no movement) and align them perfectly with the pulleys. If you dont the belts wont last long (if you can keep them on at all).
Max RPM is somewhere around 12,000 but keep it under 10 for extended periods to be safe.
An easier option that you might want to consider is a turbo set up. The positioning of things is far less critical.
Having said that superchargers rule. There is nothing better than the linear power they give you - its like having a bigger engine.
Expect this project to cost you twice as much as you think and take 3 times longer tho

There was a XE falcon ute in street machine several years ago with a 302 running 2xSC14 blowers, it was a V.nice setup, pitty about the engine though.
Give it a go I say!!
Do a search on the SC14 here, there should be heaps of info.

Its a nice idea and it does keep it all Toyota but by the time you spend the money frigging around with this set-up and finding the space to fit and run 2 SC14's, you could have a single supercharger fitted and be driving months earlier. Go search and visit the Planet Soarer website and read all about SC's on 1UZ's there.
