Wiring up a turbo timer Thu, 20 January 2005 02:36 Go to next message

Just a quick question, what are the vital wires need to be connected for a turbo timer to work. I just bought a older HSK turbo timer and I want to wack it in my self. Is there more to it then just wiring up ignition, ground and positive?

Cheers
Ryan

Although I don't really know the HKS timers personally usually you need to hook up the following wires:
Ignition +ve
Ground
+12V constant
Accessories
Handbrake (or ground)
and either injectors, oxy sensor, tacho or a vacuum (boost) line depending on what it uses to calculate how long it should stay on for.

I have an old HKS one.. It just has +12v constant, IGN +ve and earth.

Doesn't have any of the fancy stuff the new ones have. You set 1, 3 or 5mins manually.
