im thinking of keeping my car and replacing the engine with an low kms imported motor (4age out of corolla sx)
do i need to replace the gearbox aswell or can i use my existing one
to my knowledge of cars i dont think there is anything wrong with my one but i dont know much about cars so yerr ...
would the change of engine be a good time to change the clutch aswell
is there any other things recommended to be changed while im getting the change done

it would help if you told us what model corolla you have...and what is your current running gear.

yep, what car you got with what engine in it,
but changing the clutch is pretty much a given, you dont wanna do that job twice, if you can help it.

If the box is worn, clunky and full of shiny stuff, replace it, but if it still works like a new one, well see if you can get a few more years from it. Depends an awful lot on how it has been treated...
