Hey,
I'm just wondering if anyone is interested at this stage and how much? my mechanic said it's rated to 450 horsepower
The manifold is HKS. I'm selling without the wastegate, i'm going to be keeping that for use on the next turbo i get. This is the turbo kit for Sajeewah's soarer, if any toymods members remember it, produced 180rwkw and 900nm of torque on AVO's dynotuners. Saj said it was rebuilt when he bought it, but i do'nt have a receipt for that. Also just like to say, Saj is a great guy, was really polite and straightforward. Great guy to buy a car from.
Anyways if anyone is in Melbourne they're welcome to come and have a look. I'm going to be getting a 1jz put into the soarer, already bought the package from John (soarer21)  . So this will fund the turbo kit i need, or if i can't sell it, i'll just get a manifold made up or buy one for the t04e for the 1jz. Only has a little free play, when the batteries are charged for the digi cam i'll make a small movie to show free play.

May actually sell with the wastegate now if i can get what it's worth. It's blitz, not sure of the exact model, it's a decent size, and the controller is mounted in the glovebox. But it depends on what i need for the next turbo kit.

Sorry dude but i really doubt that it can produce that torque. Though the power figure in kw sounds entirly accurate. How much are you looking for the kit?

Correction - it's a HKS wastegate, not Blitz, sorry.
And yeh i know i don't believe it can produce that torque either, but i've got the dyno sheet sitting in front of me. AVO's dynos are notoriously generous with figures sometimes, so i'm told. My series 5 rx7 running on 14 psi was producing 640nM of torque which was massive and the soarer didn't feel like it had as much let alone 900, but doesn't matter.
With the wastegate, the manifold and the turbo i'm looking for 1700 maybe. You can see the wastegate is easily big enough for the turbo, would suit a bigger turbo even.
I'm just finding out a price, and all i'm really looking to do is not spend TOO much extra on a similar, but slightly bigger turbo kit for a 1jz, I kinda have one lined up now just waiting on a price for a wastegate to suit the manifold.

Maybe AVO need to fix their dyno LOL. The new Typhoon Falcon produces only somewhat 550nm of torque with a 270kw motor. So considering that it doenst rev as hard and torque is dependent on power vs rpm, we can now proclaim AVO's dyno is FUCKED. Maybe i should take the integra there so i can get some rediculious figure i can go around claiming lol.

Dont forget that the Typhoon power rating is at the engine, and the other is at the wheels. In between there is a diff with at least a 4:1 ratio which will increase the torque reading you get at the wheels. Whether or not theres been a correction factor applied to either or both, who knows.
Suffice to say the turbo is in good condition, the manifold is in good condition and thats whats really for sale here hey?

Well, i've made a little movie on that yahoo group that shows shaft play, i'm no expert, it doesn't seem to bad, it's not a ball bearing turbo either so my mechanic said a bit of free play isn't the end of the world. I've been working a bit lately, and sick today as well, but anyways i plan i taking the turbo off and bringing it to be inspected by my mechanic in the next few days. But have a look at the little movie i uploaded to the yahoo group and see what you think. It was boosting fine on the soarer while i was driving it.

Just had another feel of shaft play now, it's definently less than 2mm, 1mm or less, that's moving the compressor wheel up and down. But i want to get it looked at anyway.

It was running 14psi according to Saj, the previous owner, it doens't have a boost guage so i can't tell now, and no aftermarket computer, just a piggy back computer, a fuel cut defender.
