Driving back from work today around about 11:30am had a mate in the car with me when driving up West street hill when this XR8 Falcon ute comes flying along behind me and passes me.Silver, twin exhaust, very loud car. and I think ok hes just in a hurry and just keep driving normally and anyways at the coroner of West and Campbell street lights. theres someone turning right at a set of lights 100m down the road. so I go into the left lane, light goes green he takes off quick then backs off. I just take off normally. I think he coulld see we where admiring his car as it drove pass, so I think thats why he took of quick first off, he also goes in the left lane after I pass him at 60km/h.then after passing the car turning right I go back into the right hand lane and so does he as well,(hes behind me at the roadabout) both of us go straight ahead. (this is where the problem starts) .there was a truck in the left lane and about 100m pass the roundabout there are a set of lights with a L plater turning right. I started too slowly push the accelerator pedal down to get past the truck and get in the left lane. but then the L plater turns so I stay in the right lane. light goes amber so I start too brake. as I stopped I see this Falcon ute flying toward the rear end of the Camry and comes very close too hitting it. as the Falcon serevd just before he would of hit me (came close to hitting the truck too) and wen't flying through a red light. very scarry

Good to see you didnt get rear ended
I had something very similar happen to me last week whilst riding to work. A car locked it up behind me and kept it locked up right through the intersection(i heard the tyres scream, looked in my mirror and pulled to the right as hard as i could, i could feel it almost brush on my work boots :/)
i had to pull over and sit down for a few minutes after that as i was quite freaked outas a friends father was killed in a similar situation on his bike a few months ago

Sorry to hear about your mates father Cyber-punk. That feeling of being rear ended would have to be a thousand times more scarrier on a bike then in a car. there are some absoulte idiots getting about
