ive only just got started driving my '75 TA22, and the fuel guage is on the empty line. when i turn the power off, the guage drops back down to its stops, which is another 10mm or so from the line.
my question; where about on the guage will i run out of fuel? on the line or at the bottom of the needles travel.
(yes i am a uni student)

I've wondered this myself. But I've had it at the e line, put 20litres in and it's been at half full. So I figure when it's down there it really is empty!
Would be good to find out if there's a little more there though!

when it goes just under the empty mark is usally the spot.(please don't go driving out on a open highway to test this out unless you have a jerry can with fuel in it with you) unless you had my old WB Holden ute. when the fuel gauge on it was sitting just under empty you had 35 litres of fuel still in the tank. . I should of fixed that sensor. no wonder I ran out of fuel once with it
