Guy i have questions, my oil pump has blown out so therefore my timing has well... there is no timming as hte belt sliped with no tension i need to know if 3sgte's will bend valves when something like this happenes
also i am wanting to know if there is any way of telling that they are bent with out taking the head off???

they are interference so you wont hit valves with the pistons but you will have to carefull when you set it up to tdc that you dont hit valves together
You're running big HKS cams right? The engine isn't standard so I think you really need to ask the engine builder if it was an interference engine in the form that he assembled it.
Apparently with a 0.8mm MLM head gasket you can get away with shaving about 2-3 thou off the head without causing interference between the pistons and valves.
Also most cams esp from HKS are just longer duration not higher lift so changing cam's in most cases shouldn't cause any problems with interference.
I discussed all this with Justen and a few other people who have rebuilt quite a few 3SGTE's so I have reason to believe what they have said is correct.
