	DYNO DAY 26th February

Format is :

1. Front Wheel Drives
2. Four Wheel Drives
3. Rear Wheel Drives

The Dyno is fully adjustable in wheel base / front / rear drive so people with any vehicle drive can be quickly slotted in easy.

What depending on numbers we will be printing graphs with the following information .

1. Rpm
{With Maximum RPM engine taken to , which you determine}

2. Horsepower / Kw
{Maximum power @ RPM}

3. Torque / Nm
{Configured back to flywheel , as wheel torque is a useless value @ RPM}

4. Air Fuel Ratio
{depending on numbers and time , as fitting up meter to cannons etc take time}

5. Speedo checks at . 60 . 80 . 100 kph
Heres a few specs on the dyno:

Total power capacity 900Kw. Higher in ramp phase
Max speed 250kph
18Kw centrifugal double rotor-cooling fan. External to cell for maximum test area.
Sound proof cell.
Longitudinal ventilation with noise attenuation on air exit.
Atmospheric corrected power temperature, humidity and barometric pressure
Ramp, steady state, ECU mapping, kms travelled functions
Data stream IN and OUT from dyno PC to correlate data from vehicle ECU (Autronic data stream) OBD and other communication protocols in future.
2.1 to 4.15 meter wheelbase. ( Ford F350 158 inch wheel base )
Wireless hand control
A/F ratio input, thermocouples, pressures, etc
Compare data functions
Large screen oscilloscope 400mm for ignition and knock pattern display

Time: From 9.00 am .

Where : Beninca Automotive . 581 Canterbury Rd Surrey Hills
Parking : Lots of room up stirling cres , next to back entrance
Can line cars up the road facing the rear entrance ,since theres no parking restrictions there . Then drive the cars in one by one to the dyno room , with the next car cued behind , then out the front of the building back onto Canterbury road .

Cost : $25 payable on the day , no deposit etc .

If the normal BBQ crew want to run some food / drink during the day all the better , my gas BBQ will be there on the day .

Also thinking of having a small comp later in the day for the top horsepower cars .
Also would be a big of fun for people to guess there Top Power first .

Whos coming listing

	I am in for sure. Pm me if I can help with anything on the day/beforehand.

Name: Hen
Car: 1983 Corolla
Engine: Stock 4AC
Power: Yes. Power windows and mirrors.

Also, what is the maximum height of car that could fit onto the dyno/through the workshop? I may bring a second "project car". Although that 900kw dyno limit may be a bit restrictive.

Cheers Adam

Why do you need to play with the air fuel ratio on those engines ? And don't you think that adjusting this at every 500rpm will take a bit of time to do while everyone else is awaiting a run ? The last one i played with took 3 hours , it was fitted to a lancia . To get perfect that was so that a idea of how long it could take power gain on that car was 30hp atw.
  |

exactly i wanted to know how long it will take as i never been to a DYNO day b4. in that case the latest edition to my list of mods would be......air/fuel ratio meter

	adam, i have it fitted on was because i heard you get gains from it and i heard that its fuel economy. i also see quite a few sprinters around having them fitted on. so i thought obviously that i should be quite alright. i won't have it tuned on the dyno day. is it alright if we could organise some time away from the dyno day to get it tuned ? i know it would be selfish to hog up 3 hours for myself just to get my afc tuned, while theres a long queue waiting.

Yeah right. I am just making way for bigger n better. Besides as i explained the other day. I know what both cars put out. Ontop of that just getting a reading isn't gonna do jack. I'll wait for your result then i'll laugh after.

Any cars welcome, but only members from here...looks like it'll be an awesome day, can't wait!

Hopefully Jacob gets on the dyno, that will make 3 TA22's!!

	its going to be intersting to see what the gt4 does - it pulled just shy of 120 KW atw on a dyno dynamics setup while it was being tuned - on 12psi ..

Going to hopefully see wolf before the event to see if they can tune for a bit more boost - otherwise i dont think ill be breaking any records this time

Still yet to get my frontmount on - so im not expecting much difference from the last runs its done

Otherwise it will be good to catch up
