Cressida brake upgrade for TA22 Sat, 22 January 2005 23:05 Go to next message
I also have a brake upgrade for TA22's thats for sale it came already setup on a car i brought but basically is straight out of a cressida... i think MX73 model but will have to confirm.

The strut, shock, hub, rotor and caliper are all standard cressida parts. Has cut-down celica springs.
The only mod is to the TA22 steering arm, where one of the holes used to bold this and the strut together has been slotted (shown in pic).
I took it out of a car which had been engineered with a 3TGTE in it.

$100ono

Cheers

Ben

That hub is an MA61/RA60/RA65 hub, not an MX73 btw.

MX73 hubs look like http://members.optusnet.com.au/ta22rebuild/ICAM000 5.JPG

But the Z32/R32 brake upgrade can be used on A6 struts.

TA22 runs 228x10mm solid discs.
MA61 runs 258x20mm vented.

Can be upgraded to 280x30 or 296x30 with 4spots for under a grand.

Stud pattern is the same.

Thanks for all your input CrUZsida, it took me a while to match part numbers and measurments to figure out what the brakes were. But i see by the picture that you are correct about the hub. Thanks again!

Vin91:
Selling as a pair. I also have the shock which goes with the strut pictured. Happy to arrange things for you on fri. Probably easy if you give me a call. 0356342327 or 0439962327

Looks like an MX62 Cressida strut to me Smile
(the caliper on mx62 is different to MA/RA6X, as is the shield on the back, the mx62 one has a kind of scoop on the front where as MA/RA6X do not Smile)

Cheers
Wilbo

You use springs to suit the strut.
