hey all,
just wonderin if my idea is real dodgy or if anyone has tried it b4. i am tryin to lower the back of my corolla (ke30) and i hav found out that lowerin blocks are pretty expensive. so i was thinkin of gettin another corolla spring and puttin it in upside down in the middle of the pack and then tightenin the centre bolt. this would lower it by squeeain the pack and would give me more stiffness wit the added spring. just wonderin if this is a good idea or if it is really dangerous
cheers

How are lowering blocks expensive??? They are so simple its not funny? The kit is basically a set of four longer U bolts and two blocks. How much are they asking for?

Hey Hokey
What you have suggested is not uncommon at all Its an inexpensive solution to lowering leaves, and sure beats lowering blocks. Blocks add extra leverage (due to the diff housing being located a further distance from the spring) that makes it easier to wind up the spring under acceleration.....Helloo axle tramp!
Cheers
