Sprinter 6kg/4kg springs to swap for softer or sell Mon, 24 January 2005 10:43 Go to next message
I have some 65mm coil-over front springs that are from kings and have done less than 5000K and are 6kg/mm (325 pounds) the rears are custom ones for the sprinter and are 4kg. I have found that these are too hard for me for the crap roads in my area. Although the are beasty to drive with and I will miss them I want something softer. I want to swap and I am prepared to install them. I will sell them if necessary but prefer a swap. Also open to offers.

I am in the S.E suberbs of vic

I might take these off your hands as softer springs for me. What height are the coilover springs?

alright I need to clarify a few things:

the fronts have a 65mm internal diameter and are only 180mm long, on my car which has had the strut shortened by 60mm this allows for about -20mm at the top to -140mm at the bottom I think. I can make a nylon spacer if anyones comes short (doubt it). Having the shorter spring is great because on my car the collar sits even with the top of the tyre and lets me adjust it real easy. I have been driving around with it in about the middle. Just looking at the strut I should be able to tell people if its ok. Also I might possibly be prepared to convert struts to coilovers for an extra cost if they buy these.

There was a stuff up with the back and they ended up being too high, Kings said they will reset them for me, so if a person gives a deposit on them they get to choose the height. Right now I think they are about 40mm lower than standard. I am happy to chuck them in my car and take a pic of the height. These springs havent been used yet.

Installing them I am not prepared to go under 200 for either pair at this stage, but time does wonders...

one thing I am really going to miss though is my how nice my car is when I slam on the brakes, it will really suck to have it dive more.

Also if someones in my area I am happy to take them for a spin, I only have the fronts in right now, still drives like a demon though.

Lastly I am open to trade for other bits with a cash difference, heres whats still on my shopping list for either me or my freinds:

- 20 valve blacktop ECU
- 20 valve throttle bodies
- 20 valve loom, silver top
- T series Cusco RZ LSD
- 4.3 T series diff gears
- front lip (a sedate one)
- side skirts (very sedate look)
- 15 inch mesh wheels
