I think its a Chaser, but it could be a 2 door Cressida.
Eitherway, buy it.
You will just have to remove the rims and flares for rego.

I'd say the guards themselves are legal (maybe), but the huge negavite offset on the 10" and 12" rims would render them illegal.

I'd say the biggest problem would be getting the RTA/Vic Roads inspectors to stop laughing long enough to do the paperwork .
Doesn't Vic have more leniant rules with repects to imports that makes it hard to register them anywhere but Vic?

I am shit stirring about that particular MX41, but I do want one.
Maybe I should buy this racing Crown. Look behind and you'll see a better version of the Stitt's ghostbuster machine.

Already identified as MX41...Yes the original Chaser...Very cool..
Some pics on..
www.toyotaoldies.de in the '77 Cressida gallery..right down the bottom
I actually have a Jan 1977 Toyota published Technical Services Training Aid with a pic of a 2 door on the cover..its printed in English,German,French, Spanish, and an Arabic like style I don't know about..I think the base models came with 18R...Like the RX30/32's but maybe the chaser had 18-rg??
None in OZ that I have ever heard of...first from this forum to own one gets the book..
I suppose if you were really good you could cut up a MX32 and make one but different/longer doors...naah...forget it..MX32's are disappearing fast enough..will there be any MX41's by 2007??

Original Chaser is uber cool.
See there is another Stitt-mobile out there.

I wonder if the owner gets out in a red figure hugging camisole often....
