The original Nimitz CVN 68!!!
Classique: Don't think they have any Nitrous Oxide systems big enough! Let alone to interface with a couple of Nuclear Reactors!
Power:
The nuclear-powered carrier has two General Electric pressurised water reactors driving four turbines of 260,000hp (194MW) and four shafts. There are four emergency diesels of 10,720hp (8MW).
Hmmm...
4 x 194MW = 776MW

Not quite 1.21 gigawatts, but not bad!
Yes it is real, apparently this is a "stress test" they do to check the structural integrity of vessels under extreme situations. Basically they hoon around and do crazy stuff to see if anything breaks.
