Conversion Queries

Guys,
Just need to clear some grey areas...
The car in question is a JZZ31 2JZ-GE Soarer.
Front-Cut will be from a JZA80 Supra 2JZ-GTE, manual or auto still undecided as I will have to look into the total cost in the two.
The mechanical side should not pose any major problems other than the gearbox fitting depending on the gearbox chosen.
As the car does not have the usual ABS, EMV, TRC... etc(only aircon), what hassles would present itself in the electrical side of things?
Can the donor ecu from the supra be able to hook up to everything, i.e the dash? (With wiring diagrams of course)
Or is an aftermarket system the only way to go?

The wiring is actually quite easy once you've removed all the stuff you don't want (ABS, trac etc). There's only half a dozen wires you need to splice into the dash, and other stuff like power to the ECU, ignition relay, fuel pump relay etc, but the vast majority of the wiring is between the engine and the ECU which you don't need to touch. If you have the wiring diagrams for both cars it won't be a drama - it takes plenty of time and patience, but it's not rocket science.
FWIW I put a 2JZ-GTE in an MA61 Supra (I've actually done it twice now) and obviously I didn't keep all the electronic extras... just the ECU itself and a few outputs for the dash is all that remains.

The auto should be very similar, although I'm not sure if it attaches to the tailshaft in the same way. Does your box use a yoke or a flange?
And no, you can't put your front calipers on the back.

There should be no problems upgrading only the front brakes. I just upgraded the single-piston front calipers in my Supra to 4-piston and left the stock rear calipers... no problems whatsoever.
Yes the TT box is definitely stronger than your NA box. I wouldn't recommend using an NA box behind a turbo engine.
