Another Brake Upgrade Question !

I am presently doing an RA40, 1G project (Oh Hum Another One) and I spent some time at the wreckers today measuring some calipers & rotors. I was wondering what others thought of these modifications ?
1. Rear brakes :
Install a RT142 Corona disk brake rear end with the B/W diff. Fairly straight forward I would have thought ?
2. Front brakes :
Install the struts and brakes off a RT 132R Corona, these brakes are a larger rotor with slightly smaller surface area pads but with twin pots. The major problem I can see here is the rim offset might differ.
Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.

[quote title=fade-e wrote on Fri, 28 January 2005 23:17]mate check out Cool1s brake upgrade using the RA40 struts!!!
My only problem with cool1s setup is that i get 4 wheel disks and a stronger diff for the same price as his brackets !!
Always the cheapsake

I'm in the process of designing a new brake upgrade using RA40 struts, hubs, RX7 calipers and a large rotor. This upgrade will be for people that want/need the stopping potential without costing an arm and a leg. Stay tuned

Yeah, definately do something like COOL1 did, or use Nissan brakes, etc. rather than bother with the Corona stuff. Might as well do something worthwhile!
If cost is an issue, that's when you need to start making bits yourself - paying others to do it can get mightily expensive!

Thanks Rob, I was concerned about that cause the hub is quite a bit wider to accommodate the 2nd piston
