Pair of black SW20 MR2 Seats

Black cloth with black/grey velour in the middle. In excellent condition, need a bit of a clean from just sitting around but apart from that very good, that's why I bought them in the first place.
I have removed the mounting tabs from the drivers seat rails - I was going to have the tabs from my celica rails welded on, but never got that far because the seats ended up sitting a bit too high. I still have the tabs though, and if you put them in another car you'll either have to do the same thing (in which case I've done 1/2 the work for you ) or adapt your original rails (in which case it doesn't matter either).
I'm perfectly willing to ship them, they cost me 300 + 50 shipping, and they're going for best offer at the moment - want to put the money towards getting this 1G in my car.
There are the only pics I have at the moemnt, but I can get more pics if anyone wants to see the rails or anything like that.

I'm interseted in the seats for an RA28. Can you give me the specs on the runners and a picture of underneath the seats if possible?

By specs, do you mean measurements? Just let me know what you're trying to find out, and I'll do it for you. I'll try and get some pics of underneath & post them - it just won't be tonight.

do the seats have a lateral support adjustor - ie the wings come in when that knob on the side is turned ?
they look like my gt4 seats ( probably fit right in too ) but gt4 dont have that adjustment

I should have said - yes, the driver's side has side bolster in/out adjustment (like xA6x Supra), lower seat cushion tilt up and down, and lumbar support. The passenger just has the normal tilt control only.
Interestingly, the headrests swap with xA6x Celica (and probably a bunch of other toy headrests too.)

yes i'm after the distancew between rail bolts holes, left to right and front to back and whether there is room to reposition holes in the seat pan.
Also the max width of the cushion on bottom and back.
Thanks

Yes, Tas.
It actually cost $80 to have them sent from Syd to Hobart via Tasfreight, but the guy I bought them off payed the difference.
I think Busfreight or pack and Send might be cheaper - feel free to get shipping quotes if you like

* The rails are side-mounted, and the bolt holes are 29.5cm apart.
* Side to side , the bolt holes are ~43cm apart.
* Seat cushion is ~51cm at it's widest
* Seat back is ~51.5cm at it's widest.
FWIW, being out of an MR2, the side bolsters on the bottom cushion are fatter on the door side, and narrower on the trans-tunnel side.

Only way I could weigh them is dodgily with bathroom scales - with rails I got ~14kg for the passenger and 17kg for the driver's side. So I'd say quote on 30kg for the pair.
They're definetly lighter than MA6x seats though, which had '30kgs' on the invoice when I bought some if that means anyhting.

How much higher are they than the ma61 seats in the car ?
High enough so your head hits the roof ?

Yes, heaps. See how the headrest is an upside-down U shape, and the top of the seat is like a U-shape? The headrests go all the way sown so they fit together.

Not high enough to hit the roof, but to be honest with you, they were high enough to annoy me. If you didn't use rails, and had them fixed-mounted, you could probably make them lower than stock.
I have a side-on pic at home of one installed in an Ma6x (from a guy in NZ). I'll upload it when I'm at home.

I'll see what I can do when I get home. Is it good enough to measure from rail front mounting tab up to top of seat cushion on both?

The ideal meaurement would be front and rear, but yes, that should do.
Have you got a pic of what the rails look like and what you have cut off ?

Just to help, I have a set of these in our KE20 corolla, and are just about a standard bolt in fit once rear rail extensions are taken off - (which these have already been done).
**basically a near bolt in fit to any KE20,30,55 with little modification
Great seats - sit well in car and are comfortable
Good Luck with sale - hope this helps others

I measured the depth of the Mr2 driver's seat cushion, with the seat hight all the way down. It's 15cm from the top of the the underside of the rail (face the to the mounting tabs are mounted to) on the rail at the front, and 6cm at the back. Do you currently have MA6x seats to compare these measurements to?
I managed to take some pics with my old digicam just then, but can't find the cable to xfer the pics....

Best offer so far is $300 inc shipping. Shipping won'y more than $80, and may be less - that's how much they initially cost to get from Sydney to Hobart. (They're in Hobart, not Melb.)

Could be interested in these for the KE70... Ricebarn's prices on seats is shite.
Around $220ish plus postage to Launnie would be nice.
Good luck with the sale anyway.
