I have done a search and found nothing that helps.
I was wondering if someone could could tell me where the fuel pump on a Toyota Celica ST162 is located. I thought it was under the back seat. I took off the seat moved the padding stuff and unscrewed what turned out to be just a float
do I have to remove the tank tank to get to it?
any help is appreciated.

I Think the pump is in the engine bay somewhere just before the fuel filter no? although i've looked at my fuel filter a few times awhile back and couldn't find the fuel pump there, mystery. i'm sure someone in the st162 dedicated thread can help you out there.

Lift up the boot carpet etc. until you see bare metal.
There will be a metal plate with 3-4 screws holding it down, undo those. Under there will be wires, some are for the fuel level sensor and the others are the fuel pump power wires.
You might need to drop the tank to get the pump out, i dunno how much room you have in the ST162
