Wiring Foglights. Simple question Mon, 31 January 2005 13:03 Go to next message
hey guys

Well I have the 165 foglights now to wire up. I will have a switch in the cabin, which I want to run independantly of the lighting circuit.

This is how I think I will do it and I need to know if it's ok.

1) Wire from battery to relay
2) Wire from relay to switch
3) Wire from switch to relay
4) Wire from relay to lights
5) Earth from lights

Is this right? Thanks guys.. I suck at this kinda stuff

Seems to be, though someone else more knowledgeable will chime in.

You also need a wire from relay to earth.

when i put fogs on the TA22 how i did it was FOG1 negative to FOG2 positive, FOG1 positive to ignition, ignition to switch, switch to FOG2 negative... and put a fuse between FOG1 positive and ignition (close to ignition for easy access)

that way it only works when car is on and has the switch on top
