Heyas, I have to remove the head on a 22re and am wondering if it would be easier to do it in the car or should i just take the engine out and do it that way. Would love to hear from ppl that have done this before.

thanks

Well I decided to do it while its in the car, everything was going smoothly till now, I cant get the damn intake manifold off. I have undone all the bolts but it just wont budge, checked a few times but cant see why it wont move. Any suggestions?

Try asking on the old celica club mailing list @ www.celicas.org. They're the R-series experts.

hmm, every bolt? there is a super long one thats next to the thermostat, there is a brace underneath the manifold thats held by two bolts.

Otherwise, is it stuck on well? Give it a big ol' tug.

Good luck,

James.

You have to subscribe to the mailing list - that online forum thing was something that they trialled for a while.
