OPINION NEEDED ABOUT CAR FROM DEALER... Tue, 01 February 2005 06:46 Go to next message
Just considering gettin this ae92 CSI Corolla 1992 model for my girl friend

Its got 109,000kms, Power steering, hatch model, Silver metalic colour, very good body condition, interior is top nick..
It drove beautifully, gearbox was good, so was the engine, didn't feel tired or anything...

Askin $6495 from a dealership, only problem is they will not offer a warantee with the car due to its age??? Its like $500 to buy one.. Timin belt has just been done at 100,000kms and it has the toyota stamped service book...

We could probably get it down to $6000 ish

What do u reckon??

Thanx everyone!!!

As far as i know it is the law to sell a car from a car yard with a 3month warranty (which you dont have to pay for) regardless of age. Look into it coz im 100% sure thats the law.Sounds like he's trying to dodge ya coz your young

Thanx everyone ur opinions are good and helpful!
The radiator support piece of metal was black, i'm just wondering if this might have been in an accident...
I'll have to spray it for her..
Its only the bar that goes from one side of the car to the other in the engine bay.. it supports the radiator!

hmmm, looks overpriced. you would be better off finding an old granny selling one privately, as it would be about half that price.

ya sure???
Still seems a pretty decent price for the low kms...
U'd find one for half the price but the condition would be pretty low..

U do have a point though it is pretty expensive i guess....

I might shop around!!!!

always a good idea to shop around, as opposed to buying the first car you come across. check out some forums, trading post, car sales, carpoint, etc, and some dealerships, to get a really good idea of the sort of prices you pay for various conditions for the ae92 corollas.
