AE86 Sprinter rear brake problem

Just changed all the pads and shoes on my sisters AE86. Also put a kit through the brake master cylinder at the same time.
Front brakes bled sweet and the rears appeared to bleed fine as well but then i run into a problem.
If you put your foot on the pedal hard all the brakes work fine, you can hear the rear brakes working and you have pedal.
If you put your foot on the brake gradually the pedal sinks until you hit the front brake cylinder, then they work as per normal but it's alot harder to pull up.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I have a very similar (maybe exact) problem on my KE70, although I havent changed any pads or anything. Seems when you are in a stationary position and you put your foot on the brake, it only goes down about 5cm and your at brake lockup, but when moving, you put your foot down 5cm and at first it starts braking then slowly you have to put the pedal further and further down until it reaches the wall and you lose brakes, then you let go of the pedal and the process repeats itself.
Its like the brakes are working fine, no problems with pads or shoes, but its as if the pedal loosens itself as you press it, then when you let go it tightens back up to normal, get my drift?
Also need help...

Unlikely since the master cylinder was rebuilt 2 days ago. Will have another look at it though.
Any other ideas?

How could the booster affect it?

Sounds like theres a prob with your master cylinder. If the brake booster was giving problems it tends to make the peddle really hard when the engine is running. I would try bleeding them again all the while tapping the master and slaves with a rubber mallet and if the problems still there, i wouldnt really drive the car because I'd like to look at the master cylinder seals.

Same thing happened on our KE70... replaced the MC and works much better now (well, as good as solid discs and rear drums can!!)
Maybe the rebuild done 2 days ago was bad?
