Cost of conversion

Don't mean to be a pain and ask questions that may already have been covered (many times). I did a heavy search last night and couldn't find anything specific, so:
Could anyone tell me what rough cost would be for the following conversions to an adm ae86 (minus the car and donor halfcut), including any custom work, gearboxes, diffs etc. if done by a workshop (I know this will vary greatly but just a rough guide for those that have had this kind of work done, and paid for someone to do it)
1. 3sgte
2. ae101 4a-gze (silvertop 20v)
I am weighing up the cost for a future project (selling my Supra to buy a house), and would really love to go for a 3sgte powered 86 (I know a few of you have done this yourselves), but if this is crazy expensive I may look at the 20v supercharged swap, but have no real basis for an overall comparison of cost.
I understand the 4a is a much easier fit with mounts etc. but can't find anything that gives indication of $$$ for either...
Thanks in advance (please show me a link if something has been posted recently, and be kind I did go looking before writing this!)

10k should just about get you a 3S-gte conversion if done by a workshop. You could do it yourself for about the same price including the halfcut.

Don't get things done in a performance work shop..
they charge you an absolute arm and a leg.
Find some specialist dealers/dismantlers/hobbiest,
they could do it cheaper.
3sgte would be roughly 8k..
4agze smallport supercharged (there is no such thing as a 20v supercharged from factory) bout 5.5k
This is if you can find someone to do it cheap for you.
Mind you these are the cheapest prices I can find so far.

Thanks cool1 !
I don't think I would attempt it myself, I know my way around building pc's but my mechanical skills...uh...leave a lot to be desired (non existant! - yes I am one of those car loving IT geeks!!! )
I would love to try it myself, but want to be able to drive the thing once complete and not have the engine drop out or the like hehe.
Oh and I would have to get it engineered, and nobody I know would engineer anything I built (car wise) in their right mind lol...now where did I put that copy of engine conversions for dummies?

yeah, forgot about that.
engineering needs a brake upgrade over your standard sprinter ones.

Thanks Shcao, yeah I would have done a brake/suspension upgrade anyhoo with a 3sgte driving the thing, I have heard they are very quick.
As for the 20v Supercharged, I was positive these came as an option in the JDM AE101 - they have silver cover and are "factory rated at 165ps", I know the "blacktop" 20v never came with a charger as the JDM AE111's they were fitted to were all n/a but some (BZ-G and BZ-R models) got the option of a sexy 6speed gbox with LSD

hatchman - speak to anthony kellam here in sydney, he can definitely help you with AE86 conversions (of all types) and will be able to advise what can be done for what money.
He is just about the only man i would recommend for conversion work of this nature.
