a reclinable harness seat? and more importantly, is there any point to getting one? I have my doubts about the durability of any reclinable seat in a racing situation... but you cant legally have 2 non-reclinable seats in the front of a 2-door 4 seater.

so my dilemna is, do I just refurbish some ma61 seats and leave it at that, or do I put a nice shell-mount recaro with racing harness holes in the drivers side and leave the ma61 seat in the passenger side?

ideas?

I've given up on the idea of aftermarket seats. I'm just getting the factory seats retrimmed and a bit of extra bolstering added.

I was thinking that myself for quite a while. I ended up getting Bride reclinables. People drift race them in Japan so they cant be bad and they use harnesses.

Har Har Har,
Price is irrelevent, Laughing
My 2nd hand was more than the cost of a new Recaro equivalent, but guess what?? they dont hold you like the Bride does. You pay for what you get

Laughing I said the same about the Brides. They are shit compared to Recaros and the Recaro build quality is better aswell.

Cobra Daytona?

I have two in my Mazda 1300. Extra padding in the sides, really comfy, bit pricey though ($900 with the extra covering and blackrock material covering)

BEST mod I have ever done to my car was fitting them as I have chronic back pain from a motorcycle accident.

Err, I think I meant that the Brides were better, but... none the less, its on my car and its it rocks.

I disagree with the Cobra Daytona's, personally..... i think they were the worst seat i sat on. But that was me and my body shape, the best was Sparco Evo 2. they were THE best, but they are Buckets.

yep, I hear you, Ive had friends complain about the Daytonas, but I find bucket seats hard to get out of and being nearly 6ft 4, my shoulder blades sit a lot higher up in the seat than most peoples.

Best seat Ive ever sat in was a modified Porsche Cup Car seat actually, held you in place firmly but without transmitting all the bumps up your spine and through your kidneys.

just go the single seat look. its your car you should be comfy. why waste money on a passenger seat that you'll rarely if ever sit in?

thats just my $0.02 because its what i plan on eventually
