have you looked at BFGoodrich? mate who is serious about his tyres just went for a set on his clio sport 195/50-15. paid $140 each and the next step up from the was slicks. he is really impressed with them, did a 4000rpm launch in heavy rain and they gripped after a few rotations.

I use Falken Azenis ST115 in 195/50/15 and find them EXTREMELY good.

Very grippy & quiet, although they do tend to wear reasonably quickly being fairly soft rubber.. Last set i bought were $125 each, although I think they may be more than that now.

Can't compare them to any of the others for you though unfortunately.
