Getting Springs rewound lower AND stiffer

For those who don't know, the MX73 handles like a boat.
I've replaced all the springs with Kings Low, and the shock with Tokico's, and it STILL handles like a boat.
So I pulled the springs out to get them reset lower, only to find out that this is gonna make them SOFTER.
GHEY!
So, what are my options?
Call up Kings, get them to custom wind a set to my desired height and stiffness?
Do I have ANY other options?
Legal options that is...

Any other suppliers ?
Basically, if the ride height of the ones that you have is good, go to a custom fabber and ask for ones that have the same height and other dimensions, but stiffer and nominate a rate
There are a few mobs in Adelaide that do that, I guess any spring manufacturer is capable, it's whether they want to do it or cahrge like wounded bulls....

I'll shoot Lovells and a few other companies off an email, see what they offer.
Maybe I'll just say fuck it and get coilovers...

Front Swaybar is already 25mm stock.
Thickest Toyota do factory.
Rear Swaybar is 16mm stock, which should be enough.
Its the springs...

I'll go talk to a few places on Saturday morning.
I'm waiting for a reply from K-Mac as to who is their WA dealer.
I'm guessing it will be WA Suspensions.

That "semi" solves the front, but doesn't solve the rear.
Plus it makes more cost in the long run.
But trust me, I'm thinking about it quietly.

I can't begin to tell you how the above transformed the handling of my car compared to the Kings lows. The arse end is still a bit floaty but just doing the front has made all the difference in the world.
Oh and plans are afoot to get coilovers in the rear too. It will be a mission but it can be done!

Oh, I do realise how boaty Kings can be.
Hence I want stiffer.

i think there is a good thread on coil overs for cressidas
coilovers are your men for the front, and lower, harder springs are you thing for the rear.
the key is getting short stroke shocks, so the springs will be lower, and harder, and wont fall out.
in your case, i would suggest fitting stiffer anti-roll bars (swaybars) and seeing what that does, as then you dont have to throw out the tocikos and kings.

Only way to get stiffer swaybars is to get custom.
Custom bars work out a lot more expensive than new springs...

hmm, ok. dont suppose they are compatible with anything from the supra family or something of similar vintage?
suppose you would have looked into this already.

It already runs bigger swaybars than anything else of the same vintage.

sorry, should have read the rest of the post.
i can offer one piece of advice,
in my car, i had spring custom made with "dead coils" so say half the spring is really close packed loose coils, and the other half is the hard rate, these stay captive at full dropp, but when the suspension is compressed, the close coils all contact each other, so only the "hard" rate is doing any work.
you could look into this, but i wouldnt recommend it, short stroke is the way to go.

Wouldn't just getting progressive rate springs be better than short stroke?

from what i have read, and in my opinion, no, as your shocks aren't progressive to match them.
as far as i know, the only reason progressive rate springs are sold is so they can be used with standard stroke shocks.

Well, changing the shocks is not an option.
If I go that far, I may as well go coilovers.
