Early Celica parts. Thu, 03 February 2005 09:59 Go to next message
Being new to Celicas I'd just like to ask if anyone knows where I can buy early Celica parts in South Western Sydney. I just need bits and pieces like rubber grommets and minor stuff like that. I'd search through all the old posts but Christ, there's a million of them....
Thanks in advance.

Cheers, Greg.

Hi,

You can try some of the local wreckers, they may have some bits. ALso, you can try your local Toyota Dealership, though some dealerships are better than others and these parts are getting pretty rare and TOyota may not stock them anymore.

Also, ask for what your looking for in the "Parts Wanted" area on Toymods. SOme people are wrecking old Celicas and may have the parts you need.

There are companies around who make window rubber seals and stuff like that for these old cars. I'll be off the PC most of today, but later on I'll have a look 'cos I'm sure I've got the name of one of these compaines on my machine somewhere.

spectrum rubber? i vaguely recall positive and not-so-postive things being said about them many moods ago

if you feel like throwing money away, rare spares?

i think they both had some parts (e.g. window/boot seals, door rubbers, etc) for RA28/23 or earlier, but nothing for a relatively newish 1981 RA40.

am pretty sure you'll find a few threads on supplies of spares for older celicas - tho their helpfulness will vary Razz
