icon5.gif  VL turbo pump wiring/pipe configuration? Thu, 03 February 2005 17:47 Go to next message
Yo ppl, FINALLY putting surge tank in on weekend (got hoses and little clampy things...YEEE Smile )

Need some help double checking positive/negative wiring and input/ouput nossels.

There is no marking for +/- terminals however one is physically bigger than the other, positive?

Im also assuming the fuel output to come out of the terminal side of the pump?

Please advise Surprised

Bigger terminal is positive.
Test flow rate before installing, so you know exactly how much fuel it will deliver, and you know it works. Makes it a bit easier when its out of the car, and spilling any fuel in the boot sucks, if that where your installing everything.
Make sure the pump is mounted lower than your surge tank of course. As they don't like to suck.

yes big terminal is positive. there also should be a big nossel at one end. that is the end that goes to the surge tank and the smaller end goes to the engine... You are running a lift pump to get up to the surge tank????
