i've been told ct12's should only be boosted to 15psi.
doesnt the length and size of intake come into the equasion?
has any one spooled them more than this?

15psi is a loose way to give indication of shaft RPM.

Over speeding the turbos is what will kill them - if you can make a given boost at less shaft RPM then you can push the envelope further.

I am running 19psi on mine. They are currently on a Gen2 block. I think it is making about the same power as 16psi did in the gen3 block (150 rwkw. They seem to handle it Ok but I don't intend on keeping it at that pressure. Being a daily driver, I rarely hit high boost anyway so I'm not too worried. There is also some differences in the CT12 on a gen3 to a gen2. The casting on the compressor covers are slightly different. I am not sure if the internals changed though.
