I looked at the blue Grande in canberra last wednesday. It is a very nice car and it is tempting, but I think I can find an even better car if I keep looking.
The white Grande looks great and is an excellent price, but it has so many kms.
If I had to make a wish list it would be like this in order of decreasing priority.
1. Excellent original body work.
2. No sunroof.
3. Colour Silver, blue, Red, or dark blue (In this order)
4. Low kms or complete service history.
5. Cars with blown headgaskets OK, as they may need replacing anyway.
Price upto $7000

Hello All
So far I have seen two cars I would buy but they were over my limit of $7000. If you have a good car in this price range please PM me.
Thanks
Andrew.

At last.
I found a very nice Grande yesterday on the central coast.
It's a 1991 with only 126Kms on the clock and spotless bodywork.
So I couldn't help myself and I bought the car.
I have seen about 15 cars in total in the last 5 weeks including a couple of good cars at very very good prices. If anyone is interested I'd be happy to pass on the details.
Andrew.

There is a very nice car for sale at Kellyville advertised in the trading post. The guy has a ridiculous price on the car at the moment but he has a company car (and a wife) and he must sell so he will get reasonable eventually. Easy to find the number in the tradingpost.
There was one in Auburn in the tradingpost which was a white Grande in average condition that could be easily tidied up. The guy was desperate to sell and dropped from $6000 down to $3000 without me even making an offer. I think he has a gambling problem.
There is a very nice one owner blue GLX for sale in Rouse Hill with a rebuilt head and new gasket (Very important) and twelve months rego and they will sell for under $4000. I nearly bought this car but I found mine the next morning. You can find this car on the www.carsguide.com.au
Good luck.
You will find a good car eventually.
Andrew.
By the way I paid $7750 for mine and its in near perfect condition with only 123,000 kms on the clock.
