Computer Upgrade-My 3sge Stocky is busted

The computer in my car has failed. it keeps changing my idling speed among many other things. I want to know if i should import a japanese computer for performance reasons. any advice here would be helpful as i have no idea. Thanks.
Oh, btw, it's an '89 st162

what model is it.... i have s stock ST162 computer put away that i have no need for... as far as i know it's fine, came of my mum's car and was replaced with a new one from toyota under waranty as we had problems with pinging... was the same with the new computer so they looked into other areas, cant now remember what they did exactly, so i guess that there is nothing wrong with old one.

nah only kidding i had the same problem on my st162 when i had it. i got a computer from import wreckers for 90 dollers
make sure it is the same computer though!!!!
