5ME ECU with 5MGE

I heard from somewhere, that running the 5M-E ecu with a 5M-GE motor runs at the 30 horsepower less? i never had any follow up about it so i decided to post here...obviously...
is this true though?

So, but you lose electronic advance, and you have to use some 5M-E sensors and the 5M-E dizzy.
It basically becomes a twincam 5M-E

There is a difference but it's nowhere near 30hp. I had a 6M-GE running with a 5M-E ECU and I later changed to a 5M-GE ECU - sure it ran better but not that much better.

i have also heard this but i totally agree with norbie. it is bs.
i had a 5mge running 5me loom and ecu, and it wasnt down on horsepower.

Thanks alot peoples, im currently in the process of chucking out the old 5ME with a nice newly rebuilt 5M-GE not a real big gain in horsepower i know... but a after i source some lumpy cams and what nots... it should be a decent cruiser...
