My soarer has been experiencing driveline vibration since I got it back months and months ago(and a lot of it) Also clunked into gears(especially second) and generally had shitty shift quality as r154's are renowned for.
So today I went and bought some Redline MT90 oil, cost me 130 dollars
After a few smashed fingers and a puddle on the floor it was in and all ready to go.
IT WAS SENSATIONAL!.
Gear changing was so silky smooth and no clunking into gears, taking off from a stand still where i used to get a crap load of vibration was perfect and quiet without any vibration.
Hard and fast changes were improved 100%, just slid into gear and it was perfect. best money ive ever spent.
So to sum it up, Penrite hypoid for r154's is shit, redline is jesus.

had it had an oil change, or was it the first in a while?
ie. was the old oil old and crappy degraiding peformance, and any change would have been an improvement?
or was it recently changed and had nice (new) oil in there and still shifted poo? and then change to MT90?
I read alot on auto trans fluid, and the great difference it makes (for a few $$ more the super red toyota fluid is win)
I wonder what oil I put im my 6speed... was not cheap and nasty... but didn't cost $130 either..
