As discovered by Dr. ZZT231 himself,
there is a Human defect known as Celica-Supra Syndrome. This is where u r obssessed with your Supra and clean it and look at it all the time and just generally can't get enough ?
This post has been setup for anyone else out there who has CSS (Celica-Supra Syndrome, not Counter-Strike Source) Tell me what symtoms you sure from.

Mine are,
*Constant Cleaning my MA61
*Always Looking at your MA61
*Getting worried where ever u leave your car
*Having a warm feeling come over me when i sit in it
*Thinking of new ways to improve or change things on yer MA61
*GF getting shitty cause she thinks i love my supra more.. but she doesn't realise that without the Supra she has no transport.. but i have tried ot explain and she doesn't get it!

Hmmm i hope there are others out there that share either my joy or Pain.. i dunno wat u call it

Nope, she's a horrid sight

Nope, I leave the sunroof open most of the time, and usually a door is unlocked.
Quote:

*Having a warm feeling come over me when i sit in it

Nope, needs a good clean before this will happen. And a new steering wheel, and new this, new that.
Quote:

Already underway.

G/f loves the supra as much as I do. Infact, she 180'd it on the weekend.

As discovered by Dr. ZZT231 himself...

I'm sorry... I am not a doctor, nor not wanting to be one (due to public liability insurance Nod )...

Anyway, from further study from the Internet Rolling Eyes I suffer from MSS - Multiple Supra Syndrome... I only have 1x Celica (SA63) and a Celica-Supra (MA61) but have an urge to get a few more MA61s for "Just Incase"...

Here is the link that was found many months ago by Dr. Phil Dupler -> http://www.celicasupra.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t= 2682

Apparenlty there is no cure at the moment, but I believe the guys from the US are working on it... Laughing

Cheers.

I have cleaned my Supra once. Ever.
Quote:

*Always Looking at your MA61

I've found myself doing this a lot after I installed the shiny new rims.
Quote:

*Getting worried where ever u leave your car

This never used to worry me, until some bastard broke into it a few weeks ago while I was at work. I blame the stupid shiny wheels.
Quote:

*Having a warm feeling come over me when i sit in it

I only get the warm feeling when I step on the loud pedal. Occasionally this warm feeling becomes cold terror.
Quote:

*Thinking of new ways to improve or change things on yer MA61

I think I've gone a little overboard with this.
Quote:

I don't have time for a GF, the Supra consumes all of my time... and money... and sanity...

Currently, it's kinda dirty, but anything new that goes on it gets cleaned. Whether or not I'm diligent when cleaning it is yet to be seen, never had a car that was worth the effort.
Quote:

*Always Looking at your MA61

Yeah, I'll just stare at it every now and then, and then I slap myself cos I'm supposed to be doing something.
Quote:

*Getting worried where ever u leave your car

I will most likely, and will be installing a nasty ass alarm for this reason.
Quote:

*Having a warm feeling come over me when i sit in it

If sitting on your ass in semi-sticky body deadener does it for you sure, but not until the seats are in.

Err...yeah Rolling Eyes Looks at his bank balance and cries.

It's been 29 months since I've owned it, so it's a fair assumption to think she dislikes it a bit, but once on the road, I can see the inner hoon being unleashed.

I think I may be developing symptoms of the embryonic stages of MSS too - except I think I've got the highly contagious Nissan strain of the virus, which attacks Skyline owners (Multiple Skyline Syndrome). Is it a bad sign, that I'm considering a cheap R32 to compliment my R33 GTS-T ? - I wanna get a bog-cheap N/A auto car to transplant an RB26DETT and manual into for track / tarmac rally use . . . . .

Am I doomed? Is there a radical course of treatment available to cure me in this early stage (only got he R33 2 weeks ago) ?

Fortunately time is on my side, as the crippling loan repayments are slowing the spread of the virus, so far restricting it to the driveway (the Garage and backyard are currently infested with a plague of commodores and Go-karts).

Nah, I think people can attest to that. Last time I cleaned it was like 4 months ago.

Yes, and its scary. Whenever I take a break at work (which is pretty often) I find myself just sitting there with my coffee and cigarette looking at my baby.

Quote:

*Getting worried where ever u leave your car

Yeah sorta, but thats why I got the alarm for right? For peace of mind.

Quote:

*Having a warm feeling come over me when i sit in it

Not when I sit in it. More when I drive it. And like what Norbie said, sometimes cold terror too.

Still do. Even after spending so much money on it.

She does get shitty but not because I love it more, but I talk about it all the time. She has her own transport (in the form of a Corolla), but boy does she love driving the '61.

well, mine's absolutely filthy and 4 different colours with scratched stock rims, so no, I dont look at it much.

the modding... well, it's in the workshop at the moment having $$$ spent. I have considered owning 2, so I can strip one bare and make it a weapon (even more so) and have my current one as a daily driver

and when I think about what I'll have spent by the end of it, I could have bought a TT JZA80 6 speed

Ha-ha! I was using that same bench, ark for a while. Eg:

For the money I've spent on it, I could've bought a (as the months progressed ...)

JZA70
Auto non-turbo JZA80
AUto TT JZA80
6 spd JZA80 TT
Modded 6 spd JZA80 TT
And now I've stopped counting-up my receipts Razz

I usually make a point of not keeping track of my expenses (it's too depressing) but with my recent brake/suspension upgrade I've been counting every expense and keeping a tally. I'm only half way through and I've already exceeded $5k, and that's doing everything on a budget with most of the labour done by me.

I think I'll stop counting now. It's depressing.

Not really, it tends to look better filthy... sorta hides the stark difference between the factory 2 tone greys and the primer everywhere lol
unless u wanna include the engine bay, that i AM fussy about... my worst peeve is greasy finger prints all over my nice clean beautiful rocker covers!

Yes, and every time imagining it with its new paint job and 4 matching mags instead of 2 celica 14's on the front and 2 cressida 15's on the back lol

Definately, it sorta doesnt lock up at the moment... still havent changed the door locks since some BASTARD stole the keys, although i have changed the ignition barrel

I know how you feel, but the end result is worth it.

By the time I'm done, I'll be nudging $15k, but that includes buying the car for $5k

Bah no fair. You don't have to worry about a guy giving you the evil eye for hoarding parts. Everytime I wanna buy something for my car I gotta make sure:
1. It isn't that time of the month
2. There is no suprise "occasions" coming up
3. She's in a good mood
4. See if she's giving me the evil eye when I ask "Hun, I found a reasonably priced front bar for my car..."

Well my car isn't a MA61 but's it's close,
And i wash mine at least 3 times a week (i live down a dirt road so if i don't my car looks too rural)

I'm always looking at it or showing it off to anybody who will listen.

I'm always worried no matter what car i have that somebody will hurt it when i'm not there.

I get the shakes and heart rate races as soon as my ass touches that seat.

I've only had it for 2/3 weeks and i'm looking at ways to get more power out of it.

I don't have a proper g/f but girls get shitty when i say "ohk i gotta go play with my car i'll catch u later"
I get a earfull of "it's only car why do u like it so much !!!!"
