Is it possible to unbolt the plastic fan from the fan clutch/hub assembly?
Cheers

If you remove the fan from the 4 bolts, there are some bolts holding the fan itself on. Thats how mine was, cos I took it off to spray it.

The above is a 2jzge.
You will need about 8 washers to put under the nuts as the threads from the water pump studs arent long enough to tighten all the way down.

I think he meant about removing the fan and fixing it so the pulley stays. Regardless, no problems

hehe bit of confusion here i think, sorry BlackSupra I just looked at your picture of the thermofans and thought you had shot off in a different direction, didnt read your text to thoroughly my bad.
Anyway to clear this up once the fan assembly is removed from the pulley I then wish to seperate the plastic blade part from the hub/clutch/stubshaft. Possible or not?
Im not concerned with leaving the pulley on the engine but dismantiling the actual fan assembly.

Yep, thats what I said in my first post, there should just be some bolts holding the fan to the clutch/hub.
