a friend of mine recently bought a supra with a 5me in it. we later discovered it had a blown head gasket.
we purchased a new one (toyota no longer produce a genuine one so an aftermarket one was sourced)
anyway
the problem is this......we cant loosen the main camshaft bolt at the front of the head . is there a secret to getting it off?? the crank has been locked in position but it wont move. it has a lock plate on it so i wouldnt have expected it to be very tight
help please.........

I think they made it left hand thread because if it comes undone a little the motor won't spin it off! (Think about which way the camshaft accualy spins...)
