Was putting the passenger seat back in a mates car today, and I think in my rush I have tried to put the bolt in on the wrong angle or something has happened, and now the thread on both the bolt and the bolt hole are rooted!
I even tried different bolt and it wouldnt go in either?
what are my options? cause at the moment I feel like a slack bastard cause it means he can't take any front seat passengers?
I am gonna go to the wrecker tomorrow to get some more seat bolts, but what do I do if I have screwed up the thread in the hole?
Thanks muchly for any help and advise!

they sell a kit at any auto shop, which makes threads for both the bolt and bolt hole, depending on quality will depend on price.

1. drill it out and weld/tack a nut behind it
or
2. tap a bigger thread use a bigger bolt
or
3. tap a bigger thread and put a helicoil in and use the oigional size bolt

the thread for Toyota seats is *usually* M8 x 1.25. do as Cool1 has suggested and try to tap it to the original size first. Study the thread form to see that it is adequate.
You will have needed to work pretty damn hard to screw (no pun intended) the female thread beyond repair. Release the bolt back into the wild - it's time has come.
