How do you remove a VN Commdore rear bumper bar? Mon, 07 February 2005 11:37 Go to next message
Hey All,

I know it's a Toyota forum but I am stuck... Just pretend it's a VN Lexen Smile

My Mum has had a mishap with the family car and I can't remove the rear bar. Does anyone have an idea?

Cheers.

flick out the 2 reflectors to access the mounting bolts. chances are the stupid plastic mounting clips on the sides have broken and are a prick to get back on properly. most panels shops hust urethane the bumper back on.

I should have specified that it's a sedan... not the wagon/estate...

Cheers.

Anyone?

Problem Solved... after undoing the 2 bolts in the boot, just a slight nudge of the bar towards the back of the car and it's off...

Cheers.

Yeah I as you could see i put VN Lexcen in the body of the message, it got it off. It's amazing what hotwater and some planks of wood does to the bumper... You don't know if it was bent except the paint flakes all over the place... Oh well Very Happy

Cheers.
