This weekend. - Sunday I beleive.

And apparently they get pissed off if its not pre 1980 muscle car.

ie, it was started for HotRods and Classics.
Not heaps of Jap cars are getting in it, and apparently they got pissed off last year.

Plus, the event can go fuck itself.

I've heard its on Saturday the 12th.. Confused

Well, I'm a muscle car fan from back in the day. Not so much hotrods.. but I grew up with a lot of tough Fords in the family, so I don't mind the roar of a pre80's V8.

I definately agree that its not really an event for jap cars.. but its also wrong that they should exclude them. Modified cars are modified cars the way I look at it.. Rolling Eyes

Well - still searching for the exact details, so if anyone finds out, please let me know.

Cheers

Ahh - finally found the web site..
Here's the info for anyone else who is interested..

Big Als Silver Anniversary Poker Run for 2005 will be held on Saturday,12th February.
Gates open at 10:00am at Burswood Park for a show n shine.
Cruise starts at 4pm.

First held in 1981, Big Al's Poker Run has become one of Perth's most well known Hot Rod Events.
In the past 24 years the poker run has grown from an initial entrant amount of 52 in 1981 to 587 in 2000 and, most importantly, all in the name of charity. It now as an event commands six months worth of organising, involves numerous government departments and attracts a growing list of sponsors.
Whilst still based around American origin vehicles and Hotrods, the poker run has invited over the years clubs such as the Holden Car Club, GT Falcon Club, Austin Healy Club and Bolwell Owners to add a colourful diversity to the event.

Entry for spectators is a gold coin donation.

More info at www.pokerrun.com.au

Cheers
Damo
