Hey all, Im currently looking for a tt supra mkiv and have come across the gz code. Wat is this? I know Sz in non turbo, i know rz is tt, now i think that gz is the tt but with aerotop and auto and all the extra options. Is this correct? Wat is the difference between the Rz and the Gz?
Thanks whoever reads this

GZ was full luxury version. Like an RZ with extra features like leather trim etc.

Hey Sharif123,
Good luck finding an aero TT, they are very few and far between (the original factory ones anyway). Most of the aerotop TT's were built as GZ's (about 5% of all supra's built I believe), but were an option for any model.
There were other models available with leather trim but only the GZ has leather in the back seat, the others don't (unless they were done aftermarket).
To confuse you a little further here are the models and designations:
GZ - Twin Turbo Luxury model (with all the good stuff!)
RZ-R - Twin Turbo 6sp man. or auto with goodies as options (inc. leather front seats)
RZ-S - Twin Turbo 6sp man. or auto
SZ-R - Non Turbo 5sp man. or auto with options inc. leather
SZ - Non Turbo auto
In late '95 Toyota released an update model (the headlights have the dark charcoal inserts and the rear lights have the grey surrounds) where the TT got upgraded brakes and a few other minor changes, but these are the ones to get if you want a TT (any '96 or later)
Hope this helps a little, I know how confusing it is with Supra's. Before I got mine I did a lot of homework, and a word of warning - the industry "professionals" aren't always very knowledgeable on what they are trying to sell!
Heres some pics of my 94 Aerotop if you're interested (its also up for sale), I was originally going to throw a TT engine in but can't afford to now as I am gonna be buying a house soon

Buying a house, pft, if i had your car man id be living in that. Sweet supra. A few questions:
How much do u want for it?
Where are you?
Did you get around to pricing dropping the Rz engine into it and wat was the price?
And where did u get all your information about supras from?
Thanks for the above info anyways, very helpful.

This is somewhat incorrect. The Series II update occured 5/96, not in late 95. The Big brakes became an option from 8/94 onwards until the the Series II update where they became standard on the TT.
Do a search, all this information has been posted before.
Be patient and you will find a decent car, just don't purchase one based on the kms it has done.
Standard Aerotops feel like jelly when pushed through the twisties, but *most* Aerotop owners seem to be into big chrome wheels, sound systems and fancy paint jobs, so that may not be a problem for you.
