Urgent Injector power lead question. Thu, 10 February 2005 07:30 Go to next message
So long story short Ive got 2x injectors that are the same flow and ohms as my other two however they have a different lead connection one being squarish the other roundish.

The leads are all to suit the squarish type.

If I obtained the circular end leads and cut open the cabling and made the 2x square ends circular.

Would this work?

It sounds like it should in theory. Incase anyone is wondering theyre Rx7 injectors same flow and impedence.??

you could probably do this - BUT have you had them flow tested? Sometimes they are *rated* 550cc but they flow well in excess of 600cc.

IE I would not rely on what they were sold to you "as" but rather test them and see what their flow "is".

Well its actually been driving me crazy. Might aswell post my findings

RX7 Injectors.

#195500-1370 (dark pinkish redish top, silver body)
catalogged as 550cc theyre HIGH IMP ( 12.8 )
sqaure connection.

#195500-1370 (purple top, black body)
catalogged as 550cc theyre LOW IMP ( 2.8 )
sqaure connection.

#195500-2020 (dark pinkish redish top, silver body)
catalogged as 550cc theyre HIGH IMP ( 14 )
roundish connection.

So im using the 1370 and 2020's together..

they might work but they might also have a different spray pattern

personally i would rather buy 4 good matching set ones than try waste time and money on an unmatched pair

another thing to think about is just say down the track one plays up

then tryin to replace em might be a prob if u have different ones in the set

best to buy ones in complete set and easily available
